Our Core Values & Beliefs

Scripturally Sound Beliefs.

In Glory House Gospel Church, our teachings and beliefs are backed up by the scriptures, which are written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit (2Timothy 3:16-17). We believe in the finished works of Christ and that makes us born again. Once you are born again, you grow in the word, you live by the word and keep declaring the word of God for daily transformation and renewal of your mind.

1Timothy 2:4 tells us that Go wants all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. The biblical beliefs of Glory House Church are to help us align with the vision and mission of the Church.

Our beliefs are as follows:

1. WE BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST AND HIS FINISHED WORK.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, who took away our sins, he is the Saviour of the world. We also believe that Jesus Christ is God revealed in flesh and He was born by Mary the virgin. (See Matthew 1:18-21, John 1:29.) 1 Timothy 3:16. And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh… We believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ by which He brought about redemption of our soul and gave birth to our spirit man. Colossians 1:12-14. Giving thanks to the father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the son of His love, whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. We believe that Jesus is the first begotten of the Father, therefore, Jesus is our elder brother. (Revelation 1:5).

2. WE BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT.

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the God head. He has the same power and the same Glory with God the Father and God the son. The Holy Spirit is our partner and no matter our physical action cannot live us instead He abides with us forever. But when our action do not align with God’s word, this can make Him dormant. Ephesians 4:30. Don’t cause grief to the Holy Spirit, for he has stamped you as his property until the day of final redemption. We believe that the Holy Spirit is our partner forever. John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

3. WE BELIEVE IN ETERNAL SALVATION AND ETERNAL LIFE.

Before Christ came, all men were lost, Jesus Christ came to find us and reconciled us back to the father. Jesus can’t find you and later lose you. We were lost once, and found once. Luke.15:7,10. There’s joy in heaven over one sinner who repents. What Christ came to do was not temporarily, but was everlasting. We (believers) have been forever saved and delivered from the kingdom of darkness, into the kingdom of God and our soul was equally redeemed. This is complete deliverance. Colossians 1:13 -14. Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: NOTE : Salvation or eternal life can’t be lost. Once you are born by God, you have eternal life and you can’t be unborn by your human action, it is a spiritual birth therefore it is forever. The work of the flesh cannot change the work of the spirit. 1 John.5:11-12. This is what God has told us: God has given us life with him that never ends. We receive this life when we believe in his Son, Jesus. So whoever believes in the Son has this true life. But anyone who does not believe does not have this true life. Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. John10:28 I give them eternal life, they can never be lost, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. (ISV)

4. WE BELIEVE IN GOD AS OUR FATHER.

God who is the Father of our elder brother Jesus Christ is equally our Father by spiritual birth (born again ). Therefore we believe that God is our Father. John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, (brothers) and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

5. WE BELIEVE IN THE LOVE OF GOD.

The life of Jesus was characterized by love. Jesus said in John.13:34. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. The manifestation of God’s love by a believer is the epistles (mirror) that unbelievers see to call us Christian. In Glory house we don’t pray for our perceived enemy to die or” Holy Ghost fire, fire my enemy ” , instead we show them the love of God our father that is our own prayer. Matthew 5:44. But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. Romans 12:20-21. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Love conquer All !

6. WE BELIEVE IN THE DECLARATION OF GOD'S WORD (PRAYER).

The written word was spoken by Jesus who is the living word in Matthew chapter 4. The word is very potent. As a spirit in a body, we live daily by saying the word of God or declaring what God has done for us to situations or challenges of life. In Glory house gospel church will pray by declaring the word of God. We don’t pray prayers like: every foundation from my mother or Father house.(your foundation is now Christ , 1 Corinthians 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ). Evil altar working against me!( you are now a living temple in this kingdom .1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?), every power from my mother or father house fighting against me! No! No! (all power has been given to you, therefore in this kingdom, we decree based on the power and authority given to us. The same power and authority Jesus has, was given to us. ” power had change hand over 2000 years ago “. Matthew. 28:18 …, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. John1:12 But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in …. His name(AMP). All my enemy die by fire. No! No! Pray for your enemy and bless them. God is not a killer, He is a loving Father Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

7. WE BELIEVE IN PRAYING IN TONGUE

Once you are born again, the Holy Spirit sealed your salvation and reside inside you. What we call baptism of the Holy Spirit actually took place during our spirit birth. One of the evidence or manifestation of the Holy Spirit in us, is the speaking in Tongues. Every believers has the capacity and the ability to speak in other tongues. To every country, kingdom or community there is a language of communication, in this kingdom of light we fellowship or communicate with the father by praying in other tongues. Jude.1:20 But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith (make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit.

8. WE BELIEVE IN EVANGELISM AND OUTREACHES.

We (believers) are created unto good work. The first good work of a believer is soul winning or evangelism, this is the work given to us by our Lord Jesus who is coming back again to reward every one according to his work on earth. Revelation 22:12. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.. In Glory house gospel church we reach out to those in the hospital, widows, orphans and others through spiritual books, financially, food items and preaching of the gospel. Matthew 25:37-38. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? And he answered, and said as long as you have done it to the least of the brethren, you have done it to me.

9. WE BELIEVE IN GIVING GENEROUSLY

2 Corinthians 9:6-8. Here’s my point. A stingy sower will reap a meagre harvest, but the one who sows from a generous spirit will reap an abundant harvest. Let giving flow from your heart, not from a sense of religious duty. Let it spring up freely from the joy of giving—all because God loves hilarious generosity! Yes, God is more than ready to overwhelm you with every form of grace, so that you will have more than enough of everything—every moment and in every way. He will make you overflow with abundance in every good thing you do. (The Passion) Giving can be offering, tithe, and vow. It is a willing act of the believer according to his understanding of the love of God. Offering is what you give in fellowship and church services to honour God. Tithe preceded the Law of Moses and it was 10% of their harvest or income. Abraham gave a tenth of all to Melchizedek after, he (Melchizedek) had given him bread and wine (Holy Communion symbolizing the finished works of Christ that brought salvation). Abraham after receiving the bread and wine gave tithe willingly to the priest in response. (Genesis 14:18-20) Melchizedek was acting Jesus. (Hebrews 5:5-6.) While Abraham acted on behalf of mankind. (Hebrews 7:1-19). Melchizedek offered Abraham salvation and he responded by giving 10% in appreciation. It shows the faith of Abraham in the salvation he has received. Tithe, in Glory House, is an amount you planned in your heart to give from your regular income to help in the maintenance and running of the church. It could be 10%, 15%, 30% according to your capacity and 18 faith in Him. Just as citizens of this country pay taxes to develop the country, based on the faith they have in the government, so we, as citizens of heaven give to expand our kingdom. A vow is a special contribution you give towards a project or program in Church. It is also what you have decided in your heart to do or give to enhance the work of the kingdom. Every giver is laying up riches for himself in heaven. Luke 12:21. Believers did not give God the Father anything before he gave His only begotten son Jesus to die for our sin. (See John 3:16) It was based on love therefore we give sacrificially, based on the understanding of the love of God towards us and according to our capacity. We don’t give to be blessed, we are already blessed, and that is why will give to meet needs in the church. Sacrificial Giving is our lifestyle in Glory House gospel church. Church account for offering is Zenith 1017454411.

10. WE BELIEVE IN THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS.

Jesus is coming back again to take us back home. We are citizens of heaven, therefore Jesus is coming to take us back to our country (heaven) 1Thessalonians4: 17Then we, the living ones who remain [on the earth], shall simultaneously be caught up along with [the resurrected dead] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so always (through the eternity of the eternities) we shall be with the Lord! (AMP).

11. WE BELIEVE IN MIRACLES.

God is still in the business of miracles. Jesus did many miracles, anywhere Jesus saw faith, and miracles must take place. And he has given the assignment to do 19 signs and wonders as we preach the gospel. We don’t pursue miracles, they are our companions AS WE PREACH THE GOSPEL. Mark.16:15-18. Jesus said go into the world and preach the good news to salvation! Whoever believes is saved. And these signs shall accompany those who believe. In my authority, they will drive out demons, speak in tongues. They are divinely protected and they will lay hands on the sick and heal them.

12. WE BELIEVE IN HONOUR FOR PASTORS AND RESPECT OUR AUTHORITY.

In Glory house, the Pastor watch over the spiritual well-being of the members in accordance with God’s word. It is of necessity for members to obey and respect the Pastor to enable him serve well. Hebrews 13:17. Respect your leaders and obey them. They watch over your lives on God’s behalf. God will check to see if they have done their work well. So respect them, and then they will be happy as they serve God. Do not say bad things against them, because that will never help you. (Easy English) We obey the law of our country, obey the government and authorities .1 Peter 2:13 Be 20 submissive to every human institution and authority for the sake of the Lord, whether it be to the emperor as supreme. Believers are to honour their Pastor, and elders. (1Timothy5:17) Galatians 6:6. And those who are taught the word must share all good things with their teacher, a sharing of wealth takes place between them.
